Nick Martini swung the bat for the NC Dinos of the KBO, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Cincinnati Reds from losing.

Martini started in the No. 5 spot in the lineup for the Reds’ 2023 Major League Baseball (MLB) World Series opener against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, on Saturday.

Martini, who made his big league debut with the Oakland Athletics in 2018, is no stranger to the domestic scene. He played for the San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs, and other organizations before donning an NC uniform in the KBO in 2022. His performance was consistent, with a .296 batting average with 16 home runs, 85 RBIs, and 12 doubles in 139 games.

Martini recently received a call-up to the big leagues after signing a minor league deal with Cincinnati at the end of last season. On this day, he came out swinging and showed his true colors.

From the very beginning of the game, Martinez swung the bat hard. In the top of the second inning, with the bases loaded, he took an 8-pitch fastball from right-hander Brandon Potts and smashed it over the fence for a 118-meter solo arch.

After taking a breather with a fly to left field in the fourth inning, Martini swung the bat sharply again in the top of the sixth. With runners on first and second, he took seven pitches from Arizona right-handed reliever Bryce Jarvis and blasted a three-run shot over the right field fence.바카라사이트

He then drew a walk in his final at-bat in the top of the ninth and scored on Will Benson’s grand slam to end the game with the winning run. He ended up going 3-for-5 with two doubles, a home run, a walk, four RBI and three runs scored.

But despite his performance, Martini was not smiling. His team, Cincinnati, fell to Arizona, 8-10, in a wild game. It was the second straight loss for Cincinnati, which dropped its 63rd game in a row (67 games). Arizona, which has won six straight, is 68-61.
