Getting hit as a martial artist should be avoided at all costs. Even if it’s a planned performance.

The Miami Heat mascot performer was rushed to the emergency room during Game 4 of the NBA Finals between the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat at the Casilla Center in Miami, Florida, the day before, The Athletic reported, citing sources.

Here’s what happened. Several celebrities were in attendance at the game, including former UFC champion Conor McGregor. McGregor didn’t just watch the game, he took to the court during a break in play to do a short segment with Miami mascot Bernie.

According to The Athletic, the segment was set up for McGregor to promote a spray pain reliever he sells.

McGregor’s punch sent Bernie crashing to the court, and the mascot actor actually ended up in the hospital emergency room.

The good news is that it wasn’t a serious injury. The performer was prescribed painkillers, sent home, and is now resting at home.토토사이트

Even though he was wearing a mascot costume and boxing gloves, he couldn’t avoid the aftermath of the mixed martial arts fighter’s punch.

McGregor hasn’t fought since his loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021. A fight with Michael Chandler in 2023 is reportedly in the works.

The matchup was won by the away team, Denver, 108-95.
