The Korea 3×3 Basketball Organization (KXO) announced today that it has confirmed the FIBA 3×3 Hongcheon Challenger for two days starting October 2. The tournament will be a sporting event that combines a FIBA 3×3 basketball tournament with a local festival (2023 Hongcheon Ginseng and Korean Beef Luxury Festival).
3×3 basketball is an official sport of the Olympic and Asian Games. It is growing as an international sport, with new rules established by FIBA to break away from the traditional street basketball frame.
According to KXO, FIBA 3×3 competitions are divided into 11 levels, ranging from Level 0 to 10, and the Challenger tournament in Hongcheon is at Level 9. It is the second highest level of the entire competition.
KXO and Hongcheon-gun said, “We will start preparing for the tournament in earnest from this month, and through the successful hosting of the tournament, Hongcheon-gun will become an international 3×3 city.”토토사이트
