The deal guarantees Bell’s managerial contract through 2026.

In Bell’s five seasons at the helm, Cincinnati has compiled a record of 307 wins and 343 losses. The team finished above .500 for the second straight season in 2020 and 2021, marking the first time since 2012-13 that the team finished above .500 in back-to-back seasons.

The Reds lost 100 games in 2022, but with 29 games left in the season, they are 56-48 and in second place in the National League Central, with a shot at the postseason.
