Cheongdam defeated Soraego 13-7 to advance to the second round of the 51st Bonghwang Daejeon National High School Baseball Tournament.
Facing Siheung Sorae High School at Mokdong Sports Complex Baseball Field in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul on Tuesday, Pyeongtaek Cheongdam High School led comfortably throughout the first half of the game, building a 5-0 lead in the top of the sixth inning. Cheongdamgo’s bats then came alive, scoring eight runs in the next two innings. In the top of the eighth inning, Song Hyuk-joon hit a triple to load the bases, and Park Hyung-joon and Lim Chae-min followed with back-to-back triples to score one run each to avenge the five-run deficit in the bottom of the sixth inning.
SORAGO tried to keep the spark alive with two more runs, but they were unable to overturn the deficit and had to swallow the loss.
