The South Korean national soccer team’s first A-match trial in four years will take place in Busan on June 16.

Star players such as Son Heung-min and Lee Kang-in have arrived in Busan to prepare for the match against Peru.

The city of Busan is also busy with last-minute inspections of the stadium facilities.

The stadium roof repair work is in full swing.

The torn roof is being replaced with a yellow roof membrane, and the old stadium is being transformed.

After the A match against Australia in June 2019, the Busan Asiad main stadium will host the national soccer team trial against Peru for the first time in four years.

The roof membrane was torn off by Typhoon Maisak in August 2020, and the grass was damaged by a concert in May, but repairs were made and the stadium received a passing grade from the Korea Football Association.

Busan City plans to prepare thoroughly for the hard-fought A-Match evaluation match.
