All five KBO games have been canceled due to the rainy season that has swept across the country.

On the 29th, the 2023 KBO League regular season matchup between the KIA Tigers and Kiwoom Heroes at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju was canceled after only one inning.

On this day, it rained heavily across the country. The Doosan Bears and NC Dinos game at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul was the first to be canceled at 3:45 p.m., followed by the Daejeon Hanwha Eagles-KT Wiz game and the Incheon SSG Landers-LG Twins game. At 5:20 p.m., the Busan Lotte Giants-Samsung Lions game was canceled, bringing the total to four games.토스카지노

However, not all games were canceled. In Gwangju, it rained in the morning, but the rain came and went in the afternoon. Eventually, the rain stopped at 6:30 p.m. and the game started as normal.

It was a bit of a disappointment for Kiwoom, who got off to a strong start. Kiwoom opened the scoring in the top of the first inning with consecutive hits from Kim Jun-wan, Kim Hye-sung, and Lee Jeong-hoo against KIA starter Sean Anderson. Then, Lee Won-seok singled, Lim Ji-yeol doubled to left-center, and Lim Byung-wook singled to left-center to score four runs in the first inning. Kiwoom starter Jang Jae-young, on the other hand, continued his recent hot streak with a scoreless first inning.

However, both the momentum and the record in the first inning were wiped out by the rain. The umpires waited about 30 minutes after the game was suspended, but the rain didn’t let up and the game ended up being a rainout. It was a disappointing result for Kiwoom, who were looking for a sweep after winning two of the previous three games.

Both teams will travel to Seoul to face off against the 1-2 finishers. Kia will face LG, who reclaimed the top spot with a win over SSG Landers, in Jamsil, while Kiwoom will face second-place SSG at home in Gocheok Sky Dome.
